ü      In 2009 the H1N1 virus caused death in some countries including the United States and a virus was developed to immunize the public. Some chose to get the immunization some did not feel it was necessary. The event and decision to get or not get the immunization should be captured in the journey page. If the injection or mist was taken an entry should be recorded on the immunization page.

ü      Some school districts require that teen girls take the human papilloma virus injection. Many parents object to such a mandate on health care decisions for their girls. The regulation should be recorded in the teen girl’s journey page along with notes on the decision to get or not get the injection. If the immunization was taken an entry should be recorded on the immunization page.

ü      If you live near a potential toxic site or if there are occurrence of sickness in your community or family that could be traced to an environmental concern an entry should be captured on your journey page. Notes of the concern and measures taken to prevent illness in your family should also be recorded.

ü      Some parents choose not to have their children immunized against childhood diseases because they believe that mercury used in some immunizations could cause autism. The decision to get or not get the immunizations should be captured in the journey page. If the immunizations are taken an entry should be recorded on the immunization page.
